Operation feed new parents is GO
We dropped by our friends' place this evening and put a chicken pot pie in their oven. We stocked their freezer with spinach lasagna and homemade macaroni and cheese and blueberry muffins. We brought them three ball jars of chicken soup I made today. They were really happy we came to hang out and brought them food.
The baby is tiny. I held him while he slept and he had that nice baby smell. He weighs a lot less than Wooster cat. The baby probably weighs seven or eight pounds and Wooster cat weighs close to twelve pounds.
Because I made brunch (roasted potatoes with shallots, cheese omelets, and popovers) for David and his friend, a pot pie, and a double batch of chicken soup and socialized twice today I am beyond exhausted. David went to do laundry because he napped while I was cooking.
My aunt sent me an email entreating me to come stay with her in her newly renovated Paris apartment. I wish plane tickets were in our budget. Maybe next fall...
