I have been sick for five days. I don't care for it at all.
I bought pineapple sorbet made by a local gelateria to soothe my sore throat and it was terrible. So sweet and barely tasted of pineapple.
It's going to be rainy for forever and I am finally going to the beach for the weekend.
I am so clueless that I didn't know about Henri, the existential cat on youtube. But I love him. Henri i, Henri ii, Henri iii. He is like the furry reincarnation of Jean Paul Sartre.
I made a delicious raw soup last night.
Avocado-Zucchini Soup for two:
grated red onion to taste (I went pretty light on it even though I love red onion)
juice of one lime
one grated carrot
1 med-large zucchini
Cold water
1 ripe avocado
salt
pepper
pinch of cumin
Put the grated carrot and red onion in a good sized bowl.
Cut ends of zucchini and cut into chunks.
Blend Zucchini in blender with enough water to make a thick puree.
Add the avocado, lime juice, and spices and blend until smooth.
Mix puree with carrots and onion.
Chill or eat as is.
We also added a dollop of creme fraƮche, but Greek yogurt, or sour cream would also work.
One of the baristas is doing a grad degree in art therapy and she needed random people to make a drawing for class. So I drew her two stick figures stomping grapes in a barrel. One was doing it with gust and the other one was sad.
