I finished my little writing assignment that will get printed on the photo in braille.

My grandmother called me thinking I was my aunt just now. And when I told her it was me she asked me why I was in Texas. She is 88. I gently corrected her and we decided she just called the wrong number in her address book. My name would be just below my aunt's. She told me she has been thinking a lot about my mother and she said, "She was such a terrific person. I think that is why God took her so young. He wanted her back."

O_O

I said, "Well, maybe..." Because what else was I going to say to my muddled grandma. But NO! Just NO!

I'm coming up on the 11th anniversary of her death. So weird. And the 32nd anniversary of my father's death. I've been thinking about how hard it will be when my grandmother, and step-father die. But I have had a good run. No one has died for almost 10 years. I feel like this good luck is not going to hold up indefinitely and I am a little braced for impact.

David is working insane hours until this project is done. 14-16 hour days for the next two weeks with no time off, not even weekends.

I'm going to go back to reading MSs for the lit agent I used to work for--just for something to do until we move. I won't get paid (I am pretty sure) but I have to do something. It will get me out of the house at least once a week.

Would anyone be interested in helping me coordinate a fic and art project honoring Madeleine L'Engle?

OK, so I am going to try this. I have never done anything like it and I will need help! I am going to put together a fic and art project to honor Madeleine L'Engle. I'm going to do it in a way that makes sense to me -- and run it almost like a lit magazine.

I would like to get one submission per novel and also art. I am putting together a small team of betas who will essentially function as editors. I can edit quite a few stories on my own, but I won't be able to do them all.
Is that crazy? Am I better off just letting people write whatever they want and not worrying if I get six stories for Ring of Endless Light and nothing for any of the Time Quartet books? I am also toying with asking for a few essays too. I know there are people out there who do not want to write L'Engle fic, but who might love the chance to write a short essay?

Please tell me your thoughts? Please tell me if you would like to be involved as a writer, artist, editor! And please spread the word!

I have taken several Myers-Briggs personality tests over the years. And I seem to bounce back and forth between two types. INFJ or INTJ.

Today I am an INTJ. I thought I was feeling very analytical. And I am still 95% introverted. That makes me giggle.
