I slept less than four hours night before last. Last night I slept for almost 13 I think? I feel hungover because it is kind of dry in our apartment. I guess we need to dig out the humidifier.

So David got the actual test results for my ANA positive result from the doctor. And I looked up what they might mean (if they are not a lab error of course!)

Speckled - associated with SLE, Sjogren’s syndrome, scleroderma, polymyositis, rheumatoid arthritis, and mixed connective tissue disease

Uh, ok. SLE is lupus. But I don't have the rash on my face. Well, I'm not going to worry about this because there isn't much I can do about it and I couldn't get an appointment with the specialist until January. But really I am worried deep down. Rheumatoid arthritis runs in my family and is something I really don't want. My great aunt was in a wheel chair and had lost the use of her hands once she was 50. Lupus doesn't sound like a day at the park either.

Please thing good thoughts for me? I could use them this month!

We are doing the charity gift thing this year though David's work. We are buying for an 11 year old girl who wants clothes. So where is a cool place to buy stuff for someone 11 who lives in a major Northeast city?

I guess I could call the caseworker? But I feel shy.
