No there is no real Adult Content in this post. Thank you LJ.
The NYTs review of "Juno" is in. A.O. Scott liked it. I was charmed from the first second and did not spend the first 15 minutes checking my watch as he did. He and I both teared up at the end.
This movie is so good. Ellen Page is amazing. Jason Bateman is wonderfully creepy and Jennifer Garner and is transcendent. It opens friday and if you like clever dialog, dark comedy, and superb acting -- go see it this Friday!
I take issue with AO Scott's last sentence though. This movie did not make teen pregnancy look attractive at all. Maybe he wasn't paying attention to the pain, vomiting, and crying? That her parents were hoping she got kicked out of school or was having other troubles instead of pregnancy? That the whole film is about a 16 year old girl who is smart, but not as smart as she thinks she is.
In other news a job that I am marginally interested in because it is a block from my house and will pay me adequately got back to me and said I would be hearing from them soon to schedule an interview. :/ The other more competetitive jobs? I have not heard from.
I have switched my journal to contains explicit adult content because it makes me laugh really hard, and occasionally there are links or blurbs some people somewhere probably find offensive. edit: LJ will collapse all your entries if you change your journal to "adult content" at the settings page. If you want to be able to read entries as normal there is an option "do not collapse entries" that you can turn on so you can view any "adult" flist entries as normal. I'm curious to see how this plays out. change your settings here. Bottom of the page - "adult content options."
