After a month of very little sleep, sleeping two nights in a row and getting to sleep before midnight, heck, before 4am is fabulous. But everything is still FUBAR.
8 more inches of snow I could do without though thanks. I braved mucky Harvard Square for last minute shopping so we can ship some packages tonight. It was slushy and the snow is the kind that blows up in your face no matter what--but it wasn't too horrible. I came home and smashed my nice porcelain spoon rest while trying to clean up the kitchen so I can bake at least a few cookies for family. Aaaaand then I sliced the crap out of my finger while trying to flatted an empty butter box. Not just a little paper cut...
OK. Sure. Why not? It actually made me laugh, a little hysterically, but still laughing not crying. Go me! I've been rereading "Julie & Julia" because 98% of my books are still in storage and I haven't been able to get to the library. I fear her kitchen disasters are creeping into my subconscious and environment, but at least I did not end up on my filthy kitchen floor with a mangled food mill and cauliflower and watercress carnage spattered hither and yon.
Do you have last minute crap? How is it going?
