imaginarycircus: (ned wakes pies)
...is tonight's new episode of Pushing Daisies. I love this show so hard. It is WHIMSICAL and dark--the same way Edward Gorey is dark and also whimsical. I really hope it makes it all season and doesn't get cancelled. It's one of those shows that has amazing critical reviews but not a huge following.

You can watch the shows on the ABC site. If you haven't seen it? Give it a shot. It's adorable and creepy and there is a lot of pie.

My rheumatologist sent me to a neurologist because I have terrible insomnia. The neurologist told me that I should invest in a good booklight and read in bed for a bit until I get sleepy and that I shouldn't go to bed until my body is ready (which for me is about 12:30 or 1am). I've sort of been doing this but feeling weird about and now I can do it and not feel bad because the doctor told me to! yay.

I go for a sleep study next week to see if I have RLS or sleep apnea or any weird other things going on while I sleep. I had X-Rays today to see how the arthritis in my hips and neck is--due to the hypermobility syndrome.

I really really hate when new doctors ask me if both my parents are alive and they look they give me when I say no. Then when they ask when and how they died they look horrified. I mean it could be worse. If I had to say my father killed my mother with a hatchet and then set himself on fire. Cancer is better than that at least.

Anyone have a book light they love?

Of course I could live without it, but I would miss it.
