I wrestled with chapter one and most of chapter two. I cut a lot, but I had to change a lot too. Simplify. Focus. Dig deeper. I expect the word meter to drop back even more tomorrow because there is half a chapter I need to basically chuck but I have to go through it all and decide what bits to keep.
This is like doing surgery on myself. Without any knowledge of anatomy or any anesthesia.
