I just submitted the assisted suicide short story again somewhere new. I rewrote it today and edited it down to 4k words to make the submission guidelines. So that is two full ms novel submissions and one short story I am waiting to hear about. ACK! I am trying to mentally and emotionally prepare myself for three "No thanks" responses. A yes from any of them would be great, but I have to be prepared for no.

I need to finalize the next queries for the novel so I can simply send them as soon as I hear no. And I have to figure out where to send the short story and be prepared to just send it out.

I hope the next short fiction I write doesn't require 27 drafts, but I think the first 10 drafts were pretty useless because I didn't know how to write or edit. At least I know that I didn't know what I was doing then. What I know now? I'm not really sure.

I need to make dinner and get quarters and EEK!
