I've been feeling down all week, but I slept pretty well last night. I got up this morning sore and my allergies are still present and accounted for. But I feel like I finally know (after three days) where this scene I'm writing is headed and that is good. So I packed up my stuff including my trusty green highlighter and the printed copy of draft iii.5/iv and tootled off to my coffee shop for life saving caffeine.

I stopped in a crosswalk to let a taxi by, because often they fly through the crosswalks without stopping at stopping signs. But the taxi driver waved me across and I thanked him. When I got to the opposite corner he very sweetly called to me, "I wish you much luck."

So I pass it on to you. I wish you much luck! :D

If you haven't ever read Tobia Wolff's amazing short story "Bullet in the Brain" you should. Right now. It's only four pages. (online here)

I thought of that story when Word just now told me that my use of "you're" was incorrect. See:

I'm really not going to change it to "you is" no matter what. (And please ignore typo in that sentence later.)
