I saw a new primary care doctor and she's pretty cool. As per usual she sent me for sixteen zillion blood tests. (I almost wrote a googolplex, but that's just silly.) The bandaid the phlebotomist dude slapped on my arm was uncomfortable, but also kind of extra sticky. I'm a tear the bandaid off fast kind of girl, so I ripped it and I either took off several layers of skin or burst a bunch of capillaries. It looks icky. YAY!
I'm already scheduled for allergy testing, which I have not had done in almost 35 years. Whoa. Well, I was four.
I stopped in Paper Source today to buy my a friend a birthday card and I also had to buy her magnets with cats on them, a pack of clove gum, and a tin of hello kitty devil cinnamon candies. Um... see? I'm 12.
So I'm having tea and crumpets with butter and raspberry jam. Which also makes me feel like I'm 12 because my mother was big on tea and toasted things with butter and jam. It's one of the most comforting things I can think of--along with soft sweaters and warm cats who sleep on one's feet. And orange slippers. Orange slippers are very comforting.

Oh, and I just realized I've been on LJ for seven years. That's crazy.
