A small child reached up and grabbed my almond croissant in the coffee shop today. When his mother told him not to touch other people's food he responded by saying, "But I'm hungry." I know, kid, I know. His poor mother was horrified and she apologized several times and left quickly.
Writing was not terribly productive. Well, I was not terribly productive. I made myself sit there for hours and try to work. I'm not impressed.
I saw a bumper sticker on a parked car today that said "I'm learning to drive stick-shift." And I don't understand why. It's just not that hard to learn stick-shift, certainly not difficult enough to warrant affixing a vinyl sticker to your car. Is it a crafty attempt to keep people from driving too close?
There seem to be a lot of sick pets on my radar. I saved an adorable six month old black lab from eating a blister pack of cold medicine someone dropped on the sidewalk today. I'm trying very hard to psychically save all the other sick pets. Wooster cat is fine and we gave him roast chicken for dinner, which makes him so excited his tail quivers and he shrieks like someone is running him over with a dull bladed lawnmower. For a mostly silent cat he can very very loud. Normally we only hear that funny brrrrrt noise--he makes to announce he is entering a room, or a tiny partial meow he utters when yawning that is so adorable I have to squash him.
