We just went to the midnight showing of New Moon. It was hilarious. I thought the girl on my left was going to spontaneously combust every time Taylor Lautner walked around mostly naked. At one point she squeaked and said, "Even his nipples are fine. You never know with man nipples." And when Edward was trying to commit suicide by sparkle she shrieked and said, "His nipples are gross!" I almost died.

She asked me if I'd read the books and if Bella and Jacob were ever going to kiss and I had to tell her it happens in the third book and its awful. I didn't haev the heart to tell her what eventually happens to Jacob, which is one of the most unfortunate authorial choices I've ever read in any story.

The movie was more fun than we expected and I think a huge part of that was the crowd, but also our willingness to just laugh at the stupid parts.

Best line in the film:

"Bella, I don't want you to come." Yes, Edward we know.
