I think I am a complicator. I make things Baroque when they want to be simple and rustic. So I tried to make sure I understood the mechanism that let's a person get from one world into another in the world of my novel and I wandered off on this crazy tangent about quantum events and Planck's constant and then said this is silly. All I need is density. If you put rocks in plain water they will sink if they have a higher density than water. If they are less dense they will float. SIMPLE. KEEP IT SIMPLE. Things go where they belong.
Um, the weather? It's 89 degrees and sunny. I thought it was April, but apparently its July.
