There is a twelve year old who hangs out with his dad and does his homework at the coffee shop. He loves to read and tells me about what he's reading. He loves the Percy Jackson books. He likes plenty of other books too. And he is very chatty. He is writing six book summaries today and stopped to tell me about it.

He also informed that if you were granted three wishes by a Genie the proper thing to do is to wish for the ability to teleport, the ability to time travel, and then to keep time travelling back to your third wish and reuse it as much as you want. I think this is genius.

Last week one of the baristas (Jason) was advising this kid to never be afraid to ask girls out and to just do it. Which made me LOL because UM 12 year old is not quite ready to ask girls out. Diego looked at Jason and said sagely, "I think I'll wait to ask any girls out until I can go someplace without my dad." ♥
