I had an allergy attack in the middle of the night and was up for several hours coughing my head off and waiting for benadryl to kick in. So I slept crazy hours--from like 4:30am to 2:30pm. Ugh. The most productive thing I've done since then is to run to the corner and buy milk so I could have coffee. David borrowed my laptop for something at his Buddhist group (they were livestreaming their meditation) and I read my flist on his iPad for a while.
I am in a fair amount of pain so I decided not to go to the gym today. I have to ease into it. My normal approach is to force myself to do things and that doesn't work for me right now. I have an appointment with a trainer tomorrow and I don't want to be in a world of pain then.
I'm going to meet
lilaia for a drink soon. I'll be limiting myself to one drink though because of the personal trainer in the morning. I should really be drinking a bunch of water right now. *sets coffee down*
I woke up writing a story in my head, but it sounded too much like a Paul Bowles rip off. How very odd. I should reread his short stories. Strangely the only thing I seem to want to read now is nonfiction. I almost never want to read nonfiction, never mind ONLY nonfic. I'm working my way through Bill Bryson's "Mother Tongue" and rereading David Foster Wallace's "Consider the Lobster."
