The owner of the coffee shop is in the ICU with pneumonia. He's on a ventilator. We're all so worried about him. He has three children under the age of five.

We can't send flowers because he's in the ICU. I got a card and made as many of the regulars as I could find sign it. I'm about to go drop it in the mailbox.

We've heard that they expect him to get better with rest and care. *hopes like hell*

I'm crawling along with this rewrite. I'm not used to them going so slowly. I've spent a lot of time smoothing and tweaking the first two chapters. I'm in the guts of the third one right now and I don't know how it's going. I'm feeling slightly frustrated that as I paste old pieces in I have to find new solutions to problems that were solved and now aren't because of their new placement. I don't know if that makes any sense, but it's a bit annoying. Also how many bloody times can I make someone pass out before it gets silly?
