I had a non-day because I slept until 4pm today. I went to bed around 6:30am. Um... And then David wanted to go out to dinner. So I had dinner for breakfast and then coffee. David was so sleepy we came home instead of wandering over to the Halloween block party a couple of streets away. Kids don't generally trick or treat here--because city. So it's nice to have a block that's all decorated and closed to cars for kids. Lots of adults dress up in costume too. Some of them are amazing.
There's been an ambulance and a fire truck outside our apartment for an hour. That's worrying. D:
When we stopped to get coffee after dinner one of the new baristas whispered to me, "Are you on a date." Which made me laugh. Yes. We were on a date, but I had to explain that we'd been together for ten years and married for seven. But we can still go on dates. It's just a given that we'll go home together after and then pay our rent together.
I am totally and utterly obsessed with The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. So much so that I am actually used my tumblr to find content. I've dragged David (willingly) along with me.
The show is a modern day adaptation (vlog style) of Pride and Prejudice, but done by a professional team of writers, actors, etc. It is the most charming thing I have seen, possibly ever. The actors are amazing. I just want to sit you all down and have you watch it. Lots of people who do not like or have never read P&P are into it. But if you're a P&P nerd like I am (and also David) then you get all the in jokes and can tell where the story is headed, which often just heightens the tension.
We're finally going to see Darcy on camera tomorrow, well his face. The last episode we saw him from the neck down. And of course we've seen various people reenact scenes with him. The reenactments might be my favorite part.
The series is going to run for over a year, if I understood correctly. We're 60 episodes in. Each episode is about 3 minutes.
TRUST ME. JUST GIVE IT A TRY.
