Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] piperki a meme about your Significant Other:

All About David )

They're turning all my favorite books into movies right now. I served the King of England is a delightful absurdist romp through Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia. I had no idea it was being made into a film and it is directed by the same guy who made Closely Watched Trains. Excellent!

I love when something I didn't know I thought sneaks up and whaps me. I'm sitting next to a dude in espadrilles and it strikes me as grandmotherly. I believe there was a period in the late 80s when espadrilles were popular. I believe I had some.

Embarrassing confession time! Want to know anything else? Go ahead and ask. Anon comments are on.

I'm going to the beach for three days tomorrow. 25% is nice, but it is not lobsters and the sound of the ocean.

This OP-Ed piece on Sarah Palin (McCain's VP running mate--if you've been under a rock all day) is excellent.

"She hunts! She fishes! She eats moose burgers! She can gut a salmon as well as dispatch an incumbent governor! She’s a rural mother of five who clings to guns and religion -– exuberantly!"

While I'm thrilled to see a woman on the ticket--this woman makes me sad. She also has no idea what a VP does. While she has to be better than Cheney--that isn't exactly a selling point.
