I have obnoxious motrin resistant cramps. I hate my novel all of a sudden. Please tell me this is hormonal and I will better tomorrow.

The liquor store across the street has a wide variety of nip bottles. Bailey's in my iced latte? Y/MFY?

I think I made one of the baristas read Twilight. Now we have proof that I am made of evil.

It's hormonal. I hated my life for about 7 hours yesterday, and we both know that's ridiculous.

If you hate the novel, make a list of all of the utterly despicable horrible parts, and the fact that you want to send it to bed with no supper right this instant. It will give you something to laugh about tomorrow, and remind you that some days are better/worse than others.

*love*

I read the first chapter of draft #3 to David last night and it seemed awful and clunky and boring. D:

Keep it coming. What else do you hate today?

My cramps.
Our government
People.
Whatever is making me itchy

What else? That's not enough ...

...

being pushed to name what I hate? :/

pain, suffering, my parents, cancer, david's work schedule, my brain,

EEEEE PUPPY WITH CAST! D:

posted by [identity profile] utterings.wordpress.com at 06:55pm on 15/08/2008
That's a list.

Although I would think that puppy with cast is much, much better than puppy with non-set broken leg, hobbling in agony. The broken leg is the anguish and upset, and the cast is the fix?

Oh, no I don't hate the puppy. Or the cast. He walked buy and I was all EEEEEEE OMG PUPPEH WITH CAST!!!!! <3's

It ate all my ate. Then I had honey milk chocolate torte and I want to David to come hold my hand so I can look at him.

Yay for ating the [h]ate!

(I got confused by your "D:")

Am glad life-outlook seems better. I always feel better after I list all the junk and get it out of me, then get something inspiring and sweet to take its place. Even just briefly or momentarily.

Hope the rest of the day is brilliant!

I'd go with Kahlua in the coffee. but if Baileys is your thing, I say go for it :-)

posted by [identity profile] imaginarycircus.livejournal.com at 05:51pm on 15/08/2008
I could do both. :D

posted by [identity profile] qwyneth.livejournal.com at 06:24pm on 15/08/2008
Fuck yes to Baileys. Also perhaps Kahlua. It's Friday and cramps are made of evil. Also get yourself some chocolate. You deserve it.

Everything will be better tomorrow. :)

Having just read the first chapter, I can assure you it's entirely hormonal. Your novel is fantastic. Really, really strong work.

:D I think you're my favorite person in the world right now.

Aw! But seriously. It's very, very strong. You're just too close to it right now. Send more whenever you're ready. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

PS: Did you know I edited a metric shitload of both fantasy and YA in my illustrious 12+-year career as a copyeditor, and that your book, only one chapter in, kicks the ass of 98.7% of what I worked on, all books being pubbed by major trade houses?

PPS: Yes, I'm serious. This stuff's too important to me to exaggerate.

PPPS: So there.

OMG I think I may have just floated off my bed about six inches. I did not know you editing YA or fantasy, but I know you edited.

I read a lot of crappy ms's when I read the agency slush pile. I think I only read two OK books. And the short stories from your alma mater were much more fun to read! There was some really good stuff in that pile. No novels though. :/I think I told you agent visited MC's class and they all gave her stuff to read.

It is hormonal and it will pass :) I speak from experience! So tell your novel to fuck off for today and go get some baileys for your iced tea!

Being made of evil, its not so bad *grins evilly*

Hormonal, I hope. I think my problems are hormonal too. Well, hormonal plus the fact that moving sucks and all I really want right now is for my furniture to be successfully delivered. : (

Alcohol = good. Bailey's = excellent. All I have is beer, unless I want to drink bourbon on the rocks. (That might be a possibility considering how this day went.)

posted by [identity profile] imaginarycircus.livejournal.com at 11:07pm on 15/08/2008
LOL we have the same liquor situation! Except I do have a little Ketel One in the freezer... :D

MOVING IS OF SATAN!

posted by [identity profile] milaya36.livejournal.com at 11:40pm on 15/08/2008
Well, beer and bourbon are the essentials. Although I need to stock up my liquor cabinet a bit. My sister might be bringing me rum from Belize? :D

YES. YES IT IS.

posted by [identity profile] imaginarycircus.livejournal.com at 11:47pm on 15/08/2008
YAY RUM! \o/

Maybe if you can do the sort of move in which all your things are packed and unpacked by someone else it isn't so bad? I don't know. I'll never make that kind of move.

My parents have used that when moving to other countries (twice). But I'm pretty sure from dealing with my mother during those times that that sucked too.

Am drunk. Ended up drinking the bourbon. Mmmm, bourbon.
