If you responded to my post from two days ago with a wish or prayer? I poured a libation in your name and filmed it:

"Such are my prayers; and over them I pour these drink offerings.
Yours the strain now, yours to make them flower with mourning song,
and incantation for the dead."

-Electra, Act I, line 149, The Libation Bearers, Aeshcylus

note: The wine is homemade and the kind you have to cut with water, which seemed appropriate and Greek. My father in law brought us the wine in an old Sake bottle. I don't know if pouring wine on the grass and asking the Gods to grant our favors will do any good--but I didn't get arrested for breaking MA's open container law so yay!

Thank you! We can but hope.
I'm especially glad to hear about the lack of being arrested, though...

Yeah it would have been kind of funny if I'd been arrested for pouring old wine on the grass. They probably would't have. But maybe the police would yell at me or something?

Good to hear. Not that I expect dumping wine in public will do more than amuse people, btw! :D

I don't knowww, between that and my friend praying, something clicked a lot earlier than we were expecting.

My dad gets to stay with his company, they'll keep paying for his MBA, car, gas, cell, and we get to keep our health insurance which kicks ass. It's about half of what he was making, but it'll definitely get us by and the above list is thousands' worth anyway. He's mostly just hurt because every division was doing as shitty as his, and he feels like they used him as a scapegoat.

My grandmother's having surgery next week. It's a tumor, and they won't know until they take it out if it's cancer or not. Definitely mixed feelings--in her old age, she's become a horrible person.

Well, yay about health insurance and knowing the score. Sorry about your grandmother even if she is a pain. :/

Dang, I hope this works. I would like to move to a different department in the Organization, so I could keep all the benefits of working there without being near She Who Must Not Be Named.

I think me not getting arrested was a good omen. The rest we'll have to trust to fate/God/The Tao/etc.

I'm starting to stay awake during the dopey period from the ambien. UGH

I noticed this about temazepam so I didn't take one last night. I went for a very intense walk, which (along with the work stress) wore me out sufficiently that I could FALL asleep--unfortunately I woke up at 5:00, which is why I have enough time to answer LJ comments before going to work...if I give the T. a couple of weeks it will pack a wallop again. I know you don't have that option.

I also can't walk until I wear myself out between the arthritis and the fibro I'll be down for a week in pain. UGH!

But I did get to sleep and I'm OK.
