I didn't write anything new yesterday. I'm a bit stymied. My main character is proving to be unreliable and a bit of a liar. It's a defense mechanism and she is lying to herself as well as everyone else. But I'm finding it hard to manage in the text without it being a giant murky mess. In trying to simplify things I fear I've just made it all more complicated.

GACK!

The next chapter is going to be a bit complicated and entirely new. I imagine this will be the first draft of many.

In a way this is liberating, but mostly OUCH.
