I feel OK today and do not seem to be having any wacky side effects from the tiny dose of abilify I took last night. I'm giving melatonin a second try because apparently I was taking much too high a dose last time I tried it and I can't rely on ambien for the rest of my life. I think ambien making me dopey during the day anyway. I have to try either a higher or lower dose of melatonin I think. 1 mg is making me sleep, but very fitfully.

My agent person just emailed me to let me know that some woman has sold two books about the descendants of Medusa. It sounds a bit different than my novel(s), but I was pretty happy about their being really no books about Medusa or her offspring and feel a little meh about this news.

Don't worry at all about the other Medusa books. They're bound to be different. If anything, it might turn out to work in your favor, since publishers are so leery of things they haven't seen or done before. Was [insert agent name here] at all concerned about the appearance of these other books?

No, I don't think so. She just thought I'd be interested to know.

Glad to hear you are feeling OK today.

The other Medusa books could be good for you - like the Twilight books (sorry to bring them up) made people want to read other vampire stories. Plus your story will be WAY better.

Right, I was just kind of happy about there not being other Medusa stories, but whatever.

*hugs*

I take the 3mg Melatonin pills - just one - and that USUALLY works for me. It was just during what I'm assuming was a manic period that it didn't help. Then I got the over the counter sleeping meds and took those for just a couple of days, and it did help. Now, I seem to be sleeping on my own again, thank goodness - and just occasionally take a Melatonin.

I would try one new drug at a time so you know what does what when side effects appear. Also, hello!

Hi! So far I'm having no side effects from the 1 mg of abilify. The melatonin is not helping so much so I'll probably shelve it for a bit. I took an ambien at 5 am this morning because I was so desparate for sleep.

Melatonin never did anything for me either.

It's good to know your medication hasn't turned you into the Joker yet. ;-)
