ON A MISSION FROM GLOD

I freaked out and did a dump of the last few chapters from the fourth draft to see how much material there is. Turns out there is 2.5 times as much as I wanted. So my draft is now:


89501 / 80000 words. 112% done!

Uh. No good. I think I've done all I can do this afternoon. I'll need to sit down with the chart and look at what I absolutely need and cull accordingly. I know there are important threads that are not picked up in those scenes from the last draft. So. yeah.

but the important thing is you're MORE THAN COMPLETED, you just need to cut things out, which is wayyyyyyyyy easier than writing from scratch holy cow. So YAY FOR YOU :D

Are you concerned about me not being home to accept them? Because my building has a security desk that accepts packages for us. If it's something else then sure, you can ship to my work!

No, I'm concerned about them being in a warm place. Buttercream does not like warm. I'm going to ship overnight with cold packs. But I was hoping you could open the box ASAP and put the tins in the freezer or a fridge or eat them all right away.

Oh sure, I can do that! I'm going to be at an offsite meeting all day on my actual birthday (Friday 23rd) and then the following week I'll be on vacation and best reached here at home. Between now and then, though, the office sounds like the best plan. I'll email you now!

It looks terrifying to me, but I knew the last two days would be insane. And here they are. But vacation starts on Friday at five and there is a massage for me on Saturday.

I have to cut AND add. D: One of the major changes I made was to split the POV in two and the last four chapters are in a single POV.
