"Outlook: KEF airport is expected to be open and network to recover fully in the morning hub of May 11th."

We should be flying our normal flight scheduled through Keflavik, Iceland to Paris tomorrow night. \o/

I'm holding the ms back until the end of May. There is too much that needs work. I don't know where my brain was during this rewrite. I'm also amazed at my readers' abilities to all find different issues. I'm also not sure why my brain produced great wads of text that was NOT IN SCENE. It's like a switch got flipped to the expository setting. HORRIBLE.

And really I am so utterly grateful to anyone who has given me any feedback on this. And I commend you all for letting me have it and not pulling any punches. You're helping me make this novel better than decent and it's been a hard road the last couple of years with all my health issues. I could not have gotten this far without you all supporting me, checking me, and giving me feedback.

They went through the foreign change and found 14 cents in Euros for me at the coffee shop. So sweet.

Do you have a stopover in Iceland? Or just a change @ KEF? We've been there twice and LOVE it. (the country, not the airport, though that's lovely as well.)

We're just changing planes. I have heard Iceland is wonderful and I would definitely like to go there sometimes for more than an hour!

When we went the first time, it was because my wife found us a good fare to LHR on Icelandair; then she found out they let you add a 1, 2, or 3 day stopover in Reykjavik at no charge -- because the airline owns a bunch of the hotels there. We did it on the way home, and after a week of crowded London (with a chunnel excursion to crowded Paris, too), it was wonderfully different to rent a car and drive around in a completely different environment. Highly recommend it!

Oh, interesting! We found the cheapest flight to Paris on Icelandic Air, but won't have time to see Iceland this time. Another trip though...

Travel safely and enjoy Paris! I dearly hope the ash clouds remain benign for you.

Thank you! David says it is OK if the ash cloud strands us in Paris for a few extra days! :D

Yay! Have fun!!

Also, I'm working on my feedback memo for you. FYI: I was disappointed when I got to the end... because I wanted it to keep going! I could NOT stop reading.

Oh, that's sweet. Everyone has been incredibly generous and said they love the characters or the story and that there is good stuff in the draft--it just needs some massive cleaning up in places and I really need to shift toward less exposition.

It's going to be cool and rainy the entire time according to the weather forecast! :D

It was pretty chilly for us, like low 50s, and windy and occasionally rainy.

Oh, you're going to have such a good time! Just watch out for the gypsy women and people trying to distract you so they can get your wallet...

I don't talk to strangers unless I'm in a store or something. We have a lot of pan handlers here and I just ignore them when they start trying to talk to me. I tend to also be paranoid about strangers touching me. I've been mugged before--but that was at knife point in the Bowery in the middle of the night.

Wow. I'm not neurotic at all...

I think David is hoping it will trap us in France.
