Strange orange pugs, which I coveted:

Adorable coffee cup sconces in my aunt's apartment:

Dining room in apartment:

David in the living room:

Window across the way:

View from Balcony:

View from balcony with La Tour Eiffel all lit up at night:

I love the pig on the menu at Le Comptoir:

David with the menu at Le Comptoir:

We had an amazing lunch there today. (Le Comptoir in the Hotel Relais). David had a salad of lobster and haricots vertes and I had tiny romaine heads and tuna in a vanigrette with crunchy almonds. It was intensely delicious-- and we finished with the most amazing pots du creme I have ever had:

Flowers in the Jardin du Lxembourg where we wandered after lunch:

Tiramisu and chocolate gelato we got on Rue Cler:

The gelato apparently made David drunk:

We had a nice walk through there today. Did they have the photo exhibit of nomads up along the outside fence when you were here?

We were there in 2006, so probably not. Though to be fair, my son was 7 at the time and far more interested in the play park than strolling around the garden. But it really was the nicest afternoon we spent there.

*moves in with your aunt*

You sound like you're having so much fun! We didn't get to go to many nice restaurants because of the kids...

You're lucky you didn't take my kid. You would have gone broke just feeding him at nice restaurants. The beast that ate Europe.

I saw a big leg of jambon and thought of you and him! :D

I didn't expect my aunt to be in town for so long or to spoil us quite so much! Good lord. I don't know how we're going to go back to regular food.

WOW. Your aunt's apartment is huge! You should see the tiny little flats we have in the UK.

David is very pretty, and I love that he points his pinky up when he's drinking tea.

I love the views from the apartment. So deeply envious.

If I didn't get to stay in all her apartments I would be envious too! Their house in London is enormous. O_O We're the poor relatives.

David is my sweetie. I think the pinkie was just for the photo.

I love the way it appears you're just eating your way through Paris. That is my kind of vacation!

Also, your aunt's apartment. *__________________________*

that apartment is amaaaaaaazing. Proof that actual people do sometimes live in places that look like what I see in magazines. O_o

Also, I too covet those orange pugs. :-D

And then we put our stuff everywhere and it didn't look as neat. We cleaned up before we left though. :D

OMG the orange pugs haunt me!

You didn't send your brother macarons Laduree, did you?? Because he didn't deserve them as a peace offering. And he's a real duffelbag for not responding to you. But I am so glad you got to go to Paris.

No. I sent him homemade chocolate chip cookies. We did bring back Christophe Russel macarons, which we liked the best. But we only bought them for my in laws (who are nice) and ourselves. They make a chocolate covered fleur de sel caramel macaron that is MIND BOGGLINGLY wonderful.
