snow and cyclones and dictators, what a day.

It snowed all day and boston.com is now measuring snow according to Shaq. OMG. More snow and possibly freezing rain tomorrow. (gacked from [livejournal.com profile] lilaia).

I'm just glad we're not getting a cyclone like those poor people in Queensland, Australia. They've already had terrible flooding and this cyclone, Yasi, is being called "the worst in history." D:

And Mubarak said he won't run for reelection. Jeez. Step down already, crazy man.

Simon, who owns the coffee shop, is in the hospital with a nasty flu that turned into an infection. I'm quite worried about him and hope he's on the mend!

It's OK, when I'm a Patagonian barmaid all will be well.

I wonder if the stores will be open tomorrow? I have stuff to return to Target and I'm pretty sure I can get there if the plows are running at all.

Here too. All the schools are closed, my office is closed...if his office is open, that means we have to shovel at least the driveway very early but the rest of it we can leave until evening.

I wouldn't let Moe walk two blocks in this weather. It's 16 degrees and the wind is pretty gusty. He said it blew him and his very heavy giant packpack over on the sidewalk! Like faceplant. I'm glad he wasn't hurt...our maintenance guy broke his wrist a few weeks ago, out in weather like this.
