I guess it is nice to know that the White Plains police take hair pulling seriously and send three squad cars and six cops to deal with the matter. To be fair a shooting in NYC gets a much bigger response, so it is all relative.
I was sitting in the bus station waiting for the #12 bus to take me to Purchase so I could teach class this morning. And the cops pulled in right in front of me. And two women started screaming at each other. Not exactly what I look for to wake me up at 9am.
No idea what happened except that one woman got too close to the other woman's purse, maybe. Crying woman then pulled the too-close-to-purse woman's hair or something. Hard to tell from the screaming and crying and the "Bitch, look what you did!" They were looking at the pulled hair woman's scalp with a flash light. And then my bus showed up, but could not pull in because of all the cop cars. So we all walked over and got on and were drive away. Thank goodness.
Is it wrong that I found the whole thing hilarious? Even though the women were freaking out. It seemed so melodramtic, like the lacked even the most fundamental self-control.
