Austin is like wall to wall wifi. It's a college town so he shouldn't have any problems finding either thing. I like the Austin Java, which is south of the river from UT.

I live in the same city as MIT and Harvard and there is almost no free WiFi here. So that's very cool that they have it in Austin.
